After the incessant rains, flash-flood like situation has emerged in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Due to flash floods two persons have reportedly been washed away. District administration has launched a rescue operation to locate them.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a flash flood-like situation has emerged as all the nallahs are flowing above danger mark.
Authorities have advised people to stay indoors and don’t venture close to any nallah. Reports said that Chenab River is also overflowing while Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed by the authorities due to the prevailing situation.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Ramban in a tweet said that: “Rescue operation is on to trace the 2 missing persons in flash-flood at Neera, Ramban. Affected families are being shifted to safer places.” (KNT)
