Two Karnataka tourists injured in Srinagar road accident
Srinagar, Nov 21, KNT: A road accident on the outskirts of Srinagar left two tourists from Karnataka injured, with one in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that an accident occurred on the National Highway in the Lawaypora area when the taxi carrying the tourists collided with a truck.
The injured tourists, Asma Sheikh and Shabir Ahmad, both residents of Bengaluru, were immediately rushed to Noora Hospital for treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that one of the injured is in critical condition, while the other is receiving treatment whose condition is stable.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
