In a deadly road accident, two persons on board in a private vehicle died while three others sustained injuries, one among them being critical at Srinagar hospital.

The accident took place in Hyderbeigh near Degree College Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Eyewitnesses told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a truck hit a private car from the left side as a result it was completely damaged. Five persons on board including the driver were critically injured. The injured were taken to Trauma hospital Pattan where two among them succumbed to their injuries while three others were shifted to SKIMS Soura.

Hospital sources said that the condition of one of the injured is critical.

Local sources identified the deceased as Amir Zaman Khan and Muhammad Sadiq Khan.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case while the truck has been seized and the driver arrested. (KNT)
