Georgia University holds Associate Meet in Kashmir capital Srinagar ‘Such events possible only because of peace: GM Shaheen

Srinagar, May 29, KNT: Avicenna – Batumi Medical University from Georgia held an education cum career-oriented event in Kashmir capital Srinagar in which scores of people from different fields participated.

One of the officials from the University told the Srinagar-based news agency Kashmir News Trust that it was the associate meet where delegates from European country Georgia and India engaged in a healthy discussion on education and job placements.

Avicenna – Batumi Medical University in Georgia has been named after the famous Arabic physician Ibn Sina who in Europe is better known as Avicenna.

The speakers including Mukhamed Artmeladze the Director, Mrs. Khatuna Varshanidze (Deputy rector for clinical bases), Mrs ZhuzhunaGumbaridze (Head of quality assurance services) from Avicenna Batumi Medical University, and others said that today’s event will send a positive message and it will create opportunities for those Kashmiri students who are keen to pursue their studies in Georgia.

Mr Karan Sandhu from BAU International University Batumi and Mr Harish Garg owner of Saraswati Group of Colleges were also present on the occasion.

Political leader GM Shaheen who was the chief guest at the function said that it has been possible because of the peace. He said organizing such fruitful events in past was dead impossible and such events are happening because of the hard work of the government of India, LG Government, Army, and Police that left no stone unturned in bringing Kashmir valley back on the track of peace.
