Locals from Nandpora Hazratbal Halqa of Srinagar North have alleged that the tussle between the two Naib Tehsildars has badly hit the work culture.
They said Naib Tehsildar was recently transferred from the Halqa but he is not being relieved and the new Naib Tehsildar has not assumed the charge yet.
Locals appealed to Financial Commissioner Revenue Mr Shaleen Kabra to settle this matter in the interest of the general public.
“Recently, Financial Commissioner Revenue transferred various officials and officers. Naib Tehsildar Nandpora Hazratbal Halqa was also transferred and a new Naib Tehsildar was supposed to take charge in his place. But to our knowledge, the transferred one is reluctant to abdicate the office and the new Naib Tehsildar has not joined the duties,” the locals said.
They said it is an odd situation and they fail to understand who the actual Naib Tehsildar is.
“We appeal to the Financial Commissioner Revenue to take cognizance of the matter and resolve it amicably,” locals said. [KNT]
