TASK to organize road-show in Kolkatta to promote winter tourism

Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK) on Tuesday held a meeting on tourism promotion in Kashmir in which special invitees from IATO, TAFI, and PILTOF of JK Chapter also participated.
The meeting was chaired by TASK President Muhammad Akram Siah.
Secretary General Waseem Gosani said that all the past presidents of TASK and the managing body attended the meeting. He said that a threadbare discussion on the promotion of tourism especially winter tourism took place during the meeting.
“We have decided to organize a road show in Kolkatta to promote winter tourism in Kashmir Valley. This roadshow will be organized in January,” Waseem Gosani said.
He said that TASK urged upon the LG and Tourism authorities to ensure visitors get all kinds of facilities in Kashmir Valley.
“Recently, TASK president visited Thailand where an eminent travel agency owner complained in front of the Indian High Commissioner that tourists in Kashmir visiting to Gulmarg and Pahalgam don’t witness lavatory facilities en-route to these destinations. We appeal to tourism authorities to create washroom facilities on roads so that tourists don’t face inconvenience,” he said. [KNT]
