Lady tourist dies, 7 injured in Kashmir highway road accident

A lady tourist from Uttar Pradesh died while 7 other persons sustained injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road in the Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.

The mishap occurred near Zig Post. The driver lost control over the vehicle it rolled down into a deep gorge.

Official sources said that the injured are being treated in the hospital. They identified the victim tourist lady as Sheeba Iraqi wife of Atiqullah Iqrai, a resident of Lucknow Uttar Pradesh.

The ill-fated vehicle carrying tourists was on way to Srinagar from Jammu. (KNT)
