Two brothers were injured after a bear attacked them in the Sutharan Khag forest area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources said that the siblings were crossing a narrow road when a bear attacked them. The siblings sustained injuries and were shifted to the hospital in Khag where doctors referred one among them to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital.

Block Medical Officer Khag confirmed the incident to news agency Kashmir News Trust saying that two brothers were brought to hospital among which one has grievous injuries.

The victims have been identified as Imran Ahmed Sheikh and Showkat Ahmed Sheikh, sons of Abdul Qadir Sheikh, residents of Sutharan Khag. (KNT)
