Police have arrested a man with a country-made pistol live ammunition in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said that during routine checking at Aala Peer Chowk on Tuesday night, a man who tried to escape was apprehended along with a country-made pistol live ammunition.
They identified the arrested person as Basit Muneer of Marah-Surankote.
Muneer could not produce a valid license of the pistol during questioning, they said.
A case has been registered against him and investigation set into motion. (KNT)
