Two shops gutted in Srinagar nocturnal blaze

SRINAGAR: Two shops were gutted in nocturnal blaze in Barbarshah area of Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that an interior designing shop ‘Nazakat Interiors’ caught fire that engulfed a spare parts shop. Both shops were gutted in the blaze.

They said that ‘Nazakat Interiors’ is owned by one Mehrajuddin, a resident of Shergari Srinagar while spare parts shop belongs to a local from Mandar Bagh Srinagar Rafiq Ahmed Shah.

Local sources said that fire fighters doused the fire in time. Both the shops were partially damaged in the fire incident.

The cause of fire is being looked into the by police that has registered a case in this regard. (KNT)
