The Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed for vehicular traffic due to landslides and shooting stones, the traffic department said on Wednesday.

It said that traffic movement has been halted on Srinagar-Jammu Highway (NH-44) due to landslides and shooting stones at Dewal Bridge in Udhampur.

Officials said restoration work of the highway is in progress while men and machinery have been put in service to remove massive stones from the road.

They added that the Mughal road, and SSG road were through for vehicular movement. [KNT]
