Iran has accused some Western countries of running a propaganda operation to defame and malign the image of this Islamic country.
A high-level delegation led by Allama Mehdi Mahdavipur, representatives of Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei in India visited Kashmir where it held a detailed discussion with several groups.
While talking to reporters at Gund Hasibhat Srinagar, Allama Mehdi Mahdavipur said that there is peace in Iran while Western media is running a propaganda operation to present Iran in bad light. He said some goons are not happy with the Islamic Revolution and are creating problems but overall, the situation is normal and the majority of the people are reposing their trust in the government.
He was replying to a question about ‘Hijab Row’ in Iran as per media reports.
In response to another question, Allama Mehdi Mahdavipur said that there are cordial relations between Iran and India.
“Relations between Iran and India are not cordial and friendly when it comes to the political sphere, but these relations are better culturally and economically as well,” he said. [KNT]
