At least 10 passengers were killed when a mini-bus met with an accident in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Official sources said that the mini-bus (JK12 1419) carrying 25-30 passengers from Mandi to Saujiyan skidded off the road at Bareri Nallah and plunged into a deep gorge on Wednesday morning.
They said that 10 bodies have been recovered so for and the death toll is likely to go up. “There are passengers with critical injuries who have been shifted to hospital for treatment.”
The slain included 2 boys and 3 women.
A major rescue operation has been launched by soldiers from 40 Rashtriya Rilfes, Jammu Kashmir Police and locals.
