Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir GM Shaheen Friday interacted with the aspirants for Finance Account Assistant (FAA) posts who continued their hunger strike, demanding the immediate release of their final selection list.
GM Shaheen said that it is the prime duty of their party to play a role and appeal to LG to resolve the issue of these young men and women who are on strike.
He said JKSSB has its own weaknesses while the government has no right to target the job aspirants. “If something wrong has happened, punish the officials who are at the helm of affairs while conducting this examination,” Shaheen said.
He further said that government should address their issue without any delay and they should not be made the scapegoat.
The protesters raised slogans against the JKSSB in presence of GM Shaheen and alleged that malpractices are marring the career of deserving candidates as they are being forced to pay the price of those who cheated.
Shaheen said that he has already taken up the matter with the LG Manoj Sinha and he hopes the LG administration will amicably resolve this issue.
“After qualifying the exam we thought our unemployment woes would end but the delay in the declaration of results by the JKSSB has kept us in the middle of nowhere,” the striking aspirants told Janata Dal-United leader GM Shaheen.
Shaheen assured them that he will again take up their issue with the authorities. (KNT)
