Pulwama: Locals from a village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district expressed anguish over the rise in theft incidents and appealed to the police to take stringent action against the culprits.
Locals told news agency Kashmir News Trust that burglars broke into a factory in Rohmu Pulwama where furniture items are made. They stole tools and parts of furniture machines.
The owner of the furniture factory, Ghulam Rasool Najar said that important and costly parts of machinery have been stolen by burglars.
He added that police have been informed about the incident.
Pertinently, in the first week of this month, burglars targeted at least seven houses in the same village. Burglars according to villagers had looted gold ornaments from the house of one Muhammad Ashraf Wani son of late Abdul Gani Wani. (KNT)
