Teen Drowns in Ganderbal Power Canal, Search Operation Underway

Srinagar, Apr 4, KNT: A 17-year-old boy drowned in a power canal in the Haknar Fraw area of Ganderbal on Thursday, plunging the local community into grief.

The victim, identified as Junaid Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Wahid Khan of Fraw Haknar Gund, went missing in the canal, prompting an immediate rescue operation.

Teams from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, SDRF, NDRF, and local volunteers launched an intensive search to locate the teenager.

An official confirmed the incident, stating that rescue teams responded swiftly and are utilizing all available resources to recover the body.
