Two suspects apprehended with arms and ammunition in Sopore
Sopore, Dec 22, KNT: Police in North Kashmir’s Sopore, in a joint operation with the Indian Army’s 32 Rashtriya Rifles and the Central Reserve Police Force 92 Battalion, apprehended two suspects on late Saturday night.
The police said that the operation was conducted at a joint naka (checkpoint) within the jurisdiction of Police Station Dangiwacha.
The detained individuals have been identified as Rashid Ahmad Bhat and Sajed Ismail Haru, both residents of Arwani Bijbehara.
The police said that during their personal search, they recovered arms, ammunition, mobile phones, and other incriminating materials from their possession.
A case vide FIR number 80/24 has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha under relevant sections of the law.
The police said that investigations have been initiated to uncover further details regarding their activities and possible connections. [KNT]
