Mother and her two children charred to death in fire incident

Kishtwar, Nov 11, KNT: A devastating fire swept through a house in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir early Monday, claiming the lives of a woman and her two children.

Official sources said that Nazia Begum, her daughter Amina, and son Rizwan were trapped inside the burning building and unable to escape in time. The house in Badhat-Jashar village of Drabshalla caught fire around 4:30 am while the family was asleep.

“The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the blaze’s origin,” said the officials.

Meanwhile, civil and police officials have rushed to the area to assess the situation. The locals have demanded financial assistance to the family without any delay. [KNT]
