Farooq Abdullah Lashes Out at Pakistan Over Gagangeer Attack: “Stop Targeting Innocent People”

Srinagar, Oct 21, KNT: In the wake of the devastating militant attack in Gagangeer area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, that claimed the lives of 7 individuals, including a doctor, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has strongly condemned Pakistan’s involvement.

Farooq Abdullah emphasized that talks and killings cannot coexist, stressing that innocent lives are being lost in vain.

“Since 1947, Pakistan has been attempting to disrupt peace in Kashmir, but it will never succeed in making Kashmir a part of Pakistan,” Abdullah asserted. He appealed to Pakistan to focus on its internal affairs and allow Kashmiris to live in peace, seeking development and dignity.

Farooq Abdullah also addressed the broader implications of such attacks, noting that they not only impact tourism but also affect the psyche of the people. He urged Pakistan to cease its attacks in Kashmir if it genuinely desires friendship with India.

The attack has sparked widespread outrage, with many leaders joining Farooq Abdullah in condemning Pakistan’s actions.  [KNT]
