JDU president GM Shaheen calls on LG Manoj Sinha
Srinagar, July 5, KNT: Janata Dal-United President for Jammu and Kashmir GM Shaheen called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan Srinagar on Friday morning.
During the interaction, Shaheen raised several issues of public importance and requested LG Manoj Sinha to address them at the earliest in the interest of the general public.
GM Shaheen requested the LG to ensure the hassle-free movement of fruit-laden trucks on the highway. He said fruit growers have been expressing concern about the way fruit-laden trucks are being halted on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
Shaheen also sought strict action against those selling fake pesticides in the market.
He also requested the LG Manoj Sinha to provide adequate arrangements for the mourners during the month of Muharam-ul-Haram.
LG Manoj Sinha assured that all facilities for the Muharram mourners will be put in place across Kashmir Valley. He said a team will be constituted to curb the menace of spurious pesticides and strict action will be taken against those selling fake pesticides to farmers.
LG Manoj Sinha also assured that there will be hassle-free movement of the fruit trucks on the highway. [KNT]
