Srinagar, July 25, KNT: The Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Thursday visited forward areas along the Line of Control in Kashmir valley to review the preparedness of the forces involved in counter-infiltration and counter-militancy operations, officials said.
The Chief of Army Staff later left for Kargil to take part in the silver jubilee celebrations of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
“General Upendra Dwivedi visited the forward locations and reviewed the security situation along the Line of Control. He also interacted with the Commanders and troops on ground,” tweeted Indian Army. [KNT]
