A road accident claimed the life of an elderly woman in Srinagar outskirts on Friday morning.
Official sources said that a speeding vehicle hit a woman and fled away from the spot. The passers-by shifted the victim to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The victim has been identified as Sundari Begum wife of Muhammad Ramzan and the accident took place in Maloora Srinagar.
Police after taking cognizance of the incident have started looking for the accused driver. [KNT]
