A non-local was killed while another sustained injuries after suspected militants fired upon them old Srinagar city this evening.
Police said that militants fired upon two persons in which a man identified as Amritpal Singh of Amritsar died on the spot in Shaheed Gunj area of Srinagar while another person sustained injuries.
The injured who has been identified as Rohit Mashi, also a resident of Punjab has been shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
The area has been brought under cordon. [KNT]
