‘We don’t support any strike call, will follow footsteps of AIMTC: Transporters Welfare Association
Jammu Kashmir Transporters Welfare Association has clarified that it has not issued any strike call against the new ‘hit and run’ law in Kashmir Valley.
General Secretary JKTWA, Sheikh Muhammad Yousuf told KNT that a confederation from North Kashmir has called for a ‘chaka jam’ on 9 and 10 January but JKWA wants to clarify that it doesn’t support the said strike call.
“Talks on the national level over the contentious law are in progress. We follow the program of All India Motor Transport Congress and whenever Congress forwards any call, we will support it,” he said adding that there will be no strike from the Jammu Kashmir Transporters Welfare Association. [KNT]
