Two persons charred to death in Ramban hotel fire

Two persons were charred to death after a hotel caught fire in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

They said a hotel call ‘Maa Shanti’ in Sanasar tourist place caught fire leading to the death of two persons and injuries to six others.

The hotel was completely destroyed in the incident.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained while a magisterial inquiry headed by ADC Ramban has been ordered.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh while expressing grief over the loss of life tweeted: “Learnt about unfortunate fire incident at a hotel in Sanasar area of district Ramban, in which two persons died and 5 injured. I’m In touch with DC, Mussarat Islam. All possible help being provided to the injured who are being shifted out for better medical care. Further assistance also be provided as required. My condolences with the bereaved families.” [KNT]
