Indian Army helicopter crashes in J&K’s Kishtwar, Pilot critical

An ‘Advanced Light Helicopter’ ‘Dhruva of the Indian Army has crashed in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

The incident occurred in Marwah valley of the district and the helicopter crashed near a waterbody.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that three army officers including a Commanding Officer were on board. They have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Sources added that the condition of the pilot is critical.

The cause of the crash is not yet known while the Indian Army has not issued any statement yet.

Emergency services have been deployed to the site of the crash, and rescue efforts are currently underway.
