Jio subscribers in Kashmir facing call drop, connection issues

Jio subscribers have been facing call drop and connection issues across Kashmir Valley.

Subscribers have been giving vent to their frustration by writing about the poor performance of Jio Telecommunications on social media.

One of the posts from a well-known social activist has garnered thousands of hits with hundreds of subscribers complaining they have been facing call drop and connection issues for the last several months. The problem as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust is grave in Srinagar and Budgam while subscribers from Sopore, Bandipora, and Tral also face a lot of inconvenience.

Some of the areas where Jio performance is below par include Shalteng, Nowhatta, Press Enclave, Mehjoor Nagar, Lal Bazar in Srinagar, Panzan, Chadoora, Kremshore, Khansahab, in Budgam, Mansbal, Bandipora, Sopore, and Baramulla.

The subscribers said they are satisfied with the Jio mobile internet service but are facing problems while making or receiving calls.

One of the subscribers said that this issue has been persisting for the last several months, but the service provider is yet to come up with a solution to it. [KNT]
