Hideout busted, 4 LeT associates arrested: Police – ‘Kashmir News Trust #KNT

Police Monday said that joint forces unearthed a militant hideout in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and arrested 4 associates of militants.

The police said that the arrested militant associates are affiliated with banned militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The police said soldiers from 42 Rashtriya Rifles, 180 Battalion CRPF and the police after receiving inputs launched a cordon and search operation at Hafoo Nigeenpora forests. During the search, a hideout used by militants was busted and subsequently destroyed.

“Incriminating materials and other items were recovered from the hideout.”

Police said that an FIR vide number 10/23 was registered at police station Tral and so far 4 militant associates have been arrested who have been identified as Arif Bashir Bhat, Mohsin Ahmad Lone, Manzoor Ahmad Wani and Irshad Ahmad Ahangar all residents of Reshipora.

Police said that arrested persons were involved in providing logistic support to active LeT militants in the area. [KNT]
