Jammu Kashmir Police killed two militants in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

Police in a tweet said that two militants were killed in a chance encounter by Anantnag Police in Thajiwara, Bijbehara area of Anantnag.

Reports said that during a routine checking, police tried to search a couple of suspects who resorted to firing. Two militants were killed in retaliatory fire.

The identity of the militants is being ascertained.

A police official said that details will be shared shortly about the ‘chance’ encounter. (KNT)
