Soldier Found Dead with Gunshot Wound in Baramulla’s Kamalkote Sector

Srinagar, Mar 5, KNT: A soldier was found dead with firearm injuries at a forward post in the Kamalkote sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Naik B T Rao (25), a resident of Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred on Tuesday, with preliminary reports suggesting that the gunshot was fired from his own service rifle.

While initial assessments point to a possible suicide, officials stated that a thorough investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances of his death.
