Police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district arrested a drug peddler along with contraband on Tuesday.
A police official said that a team from Police Station Pattan during checking near Hyderbeigh Pattan intercepted a suspected person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances carrying a bag.
During checking of the bag, the police team recovered banned intoxicant capsules and Codeine Phosphate syrups.
Police as per news agency Kashmir News Trust identified the arrested person as Jahangir Ahmed Shah of Delina Baramulla.
A case under FIR Number 208/2022 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation started. (KNT)
