Mother-son duo dead, two other family members injured after tree falls on their tent in Shopian

Mother-son duo died while two other family members sustained injuries after a tree fell on their tent in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The incident occurred after gutsy winds last night in the Zaban Gali area of Shopian.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a woman and her son died on spot after a tree fell on their Khota in forest area.

The victim mother-duo were identified as  Sharefa Bano wife of Nika Katari of Naidkor Kathhallan and her son Idrees Ahmad son of Nika Katari resident of Khatwalan in Tehsil Keller of Shopian district Shopian.

In the incident, Nika Katari and his daughter were also injured and have been hospitalized.

The mother-son duo was buried in presence of some district administration officials who assured all possible help to the family. (KNT)
