Killing aftermath; Minority community employees remain off duty

Srinagar, June 3, KNT: A day after the killing of the non-local Bank Manager from Ellaqai Dehati Bank (EDB), some banks in Kashmir Valley remained shut while at other banks employees from minority community didn’t turn up.

The EDB branch at Arher in Kulgam where the young Manager from Rajsthan was killed yesterday, didn’t open on Friday. The Bank was seen locked and deserted.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the Grameen Bank branch at Kakar Hamaam in old town Baramulla remained closed on Friday. No employee turned up for the duties in wake of the yesterday’s killing of EDB Manager Vijay Kumar.

Sources added that the branch of Grameen Bank located in Kunzar Tangmarg remained open, however, employees from minority community remained off duty. (KNT)
