Duo including ex-serviceman die after dumper falls into gorge in Ramban

Ramban, June 4, KNT: Two persons including an ex-serviceman died after a dumper fell into a deep gorge in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

They said that land eroded when a dumper (JK22B/9290) was busy in loading as a result it fell into the deep gorge at the Kunch area of Ramban.

The driver and another person in the dumper sustained critical injuries and were shifted to Primary Health Centre Ukhral with the help of locals workers and police, however, doctors declared the duo dead on arrival.

A police official while confirming the incident identified the victims as ex-serviceman Suneet Singh (43) son of Daulat Ram of Kunchi village and driver Tariq Ahmed son of Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Gugwal Ramban.

Police in this regard has registered an FIR vide number 60/2022 under section 279, 304A and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
