4 militant helpers arrested in connection with Shopian vehicle blast
Shopian, June 7, KNT: Police claimed to have arrested all four militant helpers involved in an IED blast that killed a soldier and injured two others in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A blast had occurred in a private vehicle carrying soldiers for an anti-militancy operation in Sedow village of Shopian a few days back, resulting in the death of a soldier while two other army men had sustained injuries.
Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar said that four militant associates involved in this blast had been arrested by Shopian Police.
The IGP congratulated Shopian police for cracking the blast case.
After the blast, police had said that they are ascertaining the nature of the blast. (KNT)
