While talking to news agency Kashmir News Trust, one of the farmers said that the pesky power cuts have rendered the irrigation pumps non-functional. “This season we have witnessed the worst power supply. Our all pleas have gone to deaf ears,” they said.

“The paddy sowing season is approaching and our fields are dry. It will be a disaster if the power supply doesn’t show any improvement,” they added.

They appealed to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and Superintending Engineer Sopore to look into the matter and address their grievance at the earliest. (KNT)
