Active militant carrying pistol, bullets arrested from Handwara
Handwara: A joint team of police and army apprehended an active militant carrying a pistol and bullets in North Kashmir’s Handwara.
A police official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that soldiers from 15 Rashtriya Rifles and police had established a check-point at Sunmulla Crossing falling under the jurisdiction of police station Vilgam.

He said that during checking a pistol and a magazine and 13 bullets were recovered from an active militant identified as Bashir Ahmed Kumar, a resident of Lilam Handwara.
An FIR vide number 28/2022 under section 7/25 Arms Act has been registered against the said militant,” he added. (KNT)
