Srinagar:: Three militants have been killed in the ongoing encounter Nowgam area of Srinagar outskirts.
Jammu Kashmir Police confirmed the killing of three militants in the encounter saying that the search operation is in progress.
Earlier, Joint Forces cordoned off Wanabal area of Nowgam during midnight and zeroed in on the house in which suspected militants were present.
Police informed that three militants have been killed while arms and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site.
Police said that search operation is in progress. The slain militants were identified as Adil Nabi Teli of Galchibal Chandhara Pampore, Shakir Ahmed Tantray of Ronipora Shopian and Yasir Ahmed Wagay of Kujar Frisal Kulgam. (KNT)
