Deceased soldier laid to rest in native village in presence of military and police officers

Budgam: Army Friday paid tribute to Naik Sameer Mallah whose dead body was found after going missing from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Mallah-a resident of Lokipora Khag village of Budgam was affiliated with 62 Rashtriya Rifles (Dogra) Unit.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that his dead body arrived at his native village today where a wreath on behalf of GOC 15 Corps was laid by Commander 5 Sector Rashtriya Rifles.

The Commander also conveyed his condolences to the father of the slain soldier.

SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem was also present and paid his homage to the deceased soldier.

The deceased was laid to rest in presence of military and police officers. (KNT)
