Villagers express anguish over rising theft incidents in Pulwama village, Burglars loot gold from the house

 Besides, looting the house of Wani, burglars also broke windows, doors, and almirahs of six other houses, however, failed to loot anything.

Pulwama: Locals from a village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama village expressed anguish over the rise in theft incidents and appealed to the police to take stringent action against the culprits.

Locals from Astanpora Rahmoo village informed news agency Kashmir News Trust that burglars targeted at least seven houses in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

They said burglars looted gold ornaments from the house of one Muhammad Ashraf Wani son of late Abdul Gani Wani.

Besides, looting the house of Wani, burglars also broke windows, doors, and almirahs of six other houses, however, failed to loot anything.

Locals said that a day before, burglars looted 5 houses in Tujan village of the district.

“We are on our way to register a complaint at the police station,” said the locals. (KNT)
