Srinagar: Seven militants including two militants from Pakistan have been killed within a span of five days of the new year.
Besides, an infiltrator was also killed in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Last year, over 170 militants had been killed in multiple gunfights across Jammu and Kashmir.
With the start of the new year, Joint Forces neutralized 7 militants and an infiltrator in 3 encounters.
The encounters raged in Shalimar area of Srinagar city, Okey village of Kulgam and Chandgam Tahab area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The Army recently said that the majority of the anti-militancy operations are based on human-intelligence. (KNT)
