SRINAGAR: A purported video of a Kupwara youth who allegedly jumped into the river in Srinagar to end his life has gone viral in which the said youth can be heard seeking forgiveness from her parents for taking this extreme step.
Pertinently, a youth from Kupwara identified as Saqib Ahmad Ahangar, son of Abdul Kalaam Ahangar of Kupwara jumped into the river Jehlum on late Friday evening from Cement Kadal in Noorbagh area of Srinagar.
Though River Police and locals launched an operation in the river, the body of the youth is still untraceable.
Saqib has shot a video before ending his life which is viral on social media. He along with his brother and a cousin was living in a rented accommodation in Kawdara area of Srinagar city.
The reason why he took this extreme step is still unknown. (KNT)
