Congress Delegation Meets J&K CM Omar Abdullah, Discusses Political Landscape and INDIA Alliance

 

Srinagar, Apr 19, KNT: A senior Congress delegation led by party national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday to deliberate over the prevailing political scenario in the Union Territory.

The high-level meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Srinagar and was attended by AICC general secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir and J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president Tariq Hameed Karra.

According to party insiders, the discussions revolved around the emerging political dynamics in the region, with a key focus on the INDIA alliance’s strategy and the need for collective political engagement to address pressing public issues.

“The deliberations were productive and emphasised strengthening collaboration within the coalition government and addressing contemporary challenges facing the Union Territory,” a senior Congress leader told Kashmir News Trust (KNT).

The Congress is a key ally in the Omar Abdullah-led government and continues to play a crucial role in shaping governance and policy directions in the region.
