Srinagar Police Introduces QR Code-Based Feedback System for Accountability

Srinagar, Mar 14, KNT: In a move aimed at enhancing transparency and public engagement, Srinagar police have launched a QR code-based accountability and feedback system across all police stations in the district.
During an awareness session on the newly introduced criminal laws, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Imtiyaz Hussain, highlighted that the system would enable residents to share their concerns, suggestions, and expectations directly with the police. He assured that any necessary improvements would be implemented accordingly.
The SSP also underscored the importance of maintaining the hard-earned peace in Kashmir, stating that the region had witnessed decades of turmoil, leading to immense hardships.
“For 35 years, militancy and unrest have caused suffering. However, through the concerted efforts of the Government of India, the Jammu and Kashmir administration, law enforcement agencies, and the people, we have restored peace. It is now our collective duty to safeguard it,” he said.
Discussing the significance of the new criminal laws, he emphasized that their primary goal is to ensure swift and fair justice while making the entire legal system, including the police, judiciary, and prosecution, more accountable.
