Over 200 Delegations Meet DGP in Kashmir, Seek Redressal of Grievances

Srinagar, Mar 19, KNT: In a bid to enhance transparency and improve public confidence in law enforcement, Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Nalin Prabhat-IPS, held a Public Grievance Redressal programme at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir today. The event provided an open platform for citizens to interact with top police officials, present their concerns, and seek prompt redressal.
The programme saw the participation of senior police officials, including IGP Kashmir Shri V K Birdi, DIG Central Kashmir Range, SSP Srinagar, SSP Security, and SSP PCR Kashmir. Around 200 delegations, representing individuals and various groups, attended the event to voice their grievances.
During the session, the DGP attentively listened to public concerns and assured that all issues raised would be dealt with fairly and expeditiously. He instructed the concerned officers to take swift action and ensure timely follow-ups on matters requiring further inquiry. Several complaints were addressed on the spot, with immediate directions issued by the DGP for resolution.
Encouraging citizens to engage openly with the police, the DGP stressed the significance of such direct interactions in resolving public issues, strengthening community relations, and enhancing overall security. He reiterated that the police force remains committed to serving the people with transparency, accountability, and dedication.
The initiative further reinforced public trust in the Jammu and Kashmir Police, highlighting its continuous efforts to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community while ensuring a safer and more responsive policing system.
