“I have Changed”: Omar Abdullah Stresses Proactive Approach to Governance

Srinagar, Jan 2, KNT: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today asserted that his approach to governance has significantly evolved.

In response to a series of questions, he reflected on his past tenure, admitting that earlier he might not have prioritized certain issues, such as snowfall management, with the same seriousness.

“This time, I personally ensured that snow was cleared from every nook and corner by coordinating directly with all Deputy Commissioners,” he said, highlighting his proactive stance on tackling snowfall-related challenges.

The Chief Minister also playfully addressed his choice of attire, specifically the traditional sozni cap he was wearing, stating it was merely to keep his head warm and urged people not to overanalyze his wardrobe choices.

On governance, Abdullah dismissed rumors about tensions between government officers and legislators. He emphasized that relations remain cordial and clarified that officers are functioning under the government’s authority, urging people not to spread baseless rumors. [KNT]
