Witnessing worst ever power crisis: Hakeem Yaseen
Budgam, Dec 12, KNT: Chairman, Peoples Democratic Front, Hakeem Yaseen Thursday expressed grave concerns over the severe power crisis gripping the Kashmir Valley, particularly in rural areas like Khag and other parts of Budgam district. He described the situation as “the worst ever power crisis” in Kashmir, saying that the entire valley has been plunged into darkness due to massive power outages.
Hakeen Yaseen criticized the government’s inability to address the issue, urging both central and state authorities to step in and resolve the crisis immediately. He called for increased allocation of power supply to meet the demands of people facing the harsh winter season.
“This is not the time for blame games. We need to find pragmatic solutions,” he said and urged the government to prioritize the procurement of additional power to alleviate the suffering of the people.
He said people in both metered and non-metered areas are enduring power cuts lasting 10 to 15 hours daily. [KNT]
