Doda, Dec 7, KNT: Hundreds gathered in Doda district of Jammu on Saturday, under the ‘Hindu Sanatan Sabha’ banner, protesting alleged atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Demonstrators, including men and women, held placards and banners urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention.
The protesters claimed Hindus in Bangladesh face constant threats and demanded immediate action to safeguard their community. They denounced the current Bangladesh regime, warning that persistent attacks may necessitate Indian military intervention.
One of the protesters Ashok Bhagat told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that Hindus are in danger and under attack. He sought global condemnation of Bangladesh’s treatment of Hindus and urged the Indian government to take decisive action.
Pertinently, the protest follows reports of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. The Indian government has expressed concerns, with External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stating India has taken serious note and shared concerns with Bangladesh. [KNT]
