Samba Police Crack Down on Drug Peddling: 7 Grams Heroin Recovered

 

Samba, Oct 9, KNT: The Samba Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and approximately 7 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.

The accused, identified as Abdul Rashid, a resident of Manohar Gopala tehsil was intercepted by a police team from Police Post Rakh Amb Talli at a checkpoint in Rakh Amb Talli.

The police was conducting routine checks when they stopped Abdul Rashid, who was traveling from Samba. Upon frisking, the heroin-like substance was found, and the contraband item was seized on the spot.

The police said that a case has been registered under the NDPS Act (FIR No. 263/2024 u/s 8/21/22) at Police Station Samba, and an investigation is underway to uncover more details about Abdul Rashid’s involvement in drug peddling. [KNT]
