Man dies after falling from a walnut tree in Budgam
Budgam, Sep 11, KNT: A middle-aged man from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district died after falling from a walnut tree.
The incident occurred in the Khag area of the district. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Abdul Hameed Sheikh, son of Abdul Rahman, a resident of Malik Mohalla Khag.
Local sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that Sheikh received grievous injuries after the fall and was rushed to a nearby hospital for first aid, where he was later referred to JVC Bemina for further treatment.
The doctors at JVC Bemina declared him “brought dead on arrival.”
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
